The reports included details of applications and, where applicable, results of statutory consultations and representations which had been received from interested bodies and individuals, and the Committee reached the following decisions:-.

The application was therefore APPROVED
Minutes: Members received a report which sought planning permission the change of use from a residential dwelling (Class C3) to a children’s care home (Use Class C2) at 41 Bamburg Close, Corby, NN18 9PA for Miss Jessica Bare. The Development Officer presented the report which detailed the proposal, description of the site, the planning history, relevant planning policies, outcome of consultations and an assessment of the proposal.
Requests to address the meeting had been received from Cllr Robert Newby on behalf of Corby Town Council and Belinda Bare on behalf of the applicant.
Cllr Robert Newby attended the meeting and addressed the committee as a representative of Corby Town Council and stated that the Town Council had no objections to the proposed development and sought to ensure robust conditions on the proposed development to satisfy all residents.
Belinda Bare attended the meeting and addressed the committee on behalf of the applicant and stated that the proposed development was to ensure adequate care and support for children aged 10-18. The agent stated that there was a national and local shortage of children’s care homes and that the proposed development would be supported and monitored by care staff.
For the purposes of debate and in accordance with the Council’s Constitution Rules 19.2 and 19.21 Councillor Wendy Brackenbury moved the recommendation to approve the application and it was seconded by Councillor Robin Carter.
It was proposed by Councillor Brackenbury and seconded by Councillor Carter that the application be approved subject to conditions
