Exclusion of the Press and Public
It was resolved that:
Under Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the remaining item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information, in respect of the following:-
i. Appointment of Director of Law and Governance, Monitoring Officer (as defined by paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 A of the Act) ii. and that, in all circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information. |

Appointment of Director of Law and Governance (Monitoring Officer) (Exempt under paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended.)
The Subcommittee will conduct interviews for the role of Director of Law and Governance (Monitoring Officer) of North Northamptonshire Council, as established by the Employment Committee on 8th January 2025.
It will be responsible for selecting and recommending a successful candidate for approval to be sought by full Council. Presented By: Assistant Director of Human Resources Minutes: (Exempt under paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972)
The Employment Subcommittee conducted interviews for the role of Director of Legal and Governance, Monitoring Officer.
Following the conclusion of the interviews, the Subcommittee considered which of the candidates should be its preferred choice, with the support of the Assistant Director for Human Resources.
Resolved:-
That it be agreed that the Assistant Director for Human Resources should be informed of:-
a) the name of the most suitable person for the position for the role of Director of Law and Governance, Monitoring Officer;
b) the relevant particulars which the Subcommittee considers are relevant to the appointment in accordance with the requirements set out in the Constitution.
