Councillor Henson (Chair) drew Council’s attention to a concert being held by Kettering Symphony Orchestra on Saturday 26^th November 2022. Tickets were still available and councillors encouraged to support the event.

The Chair informed the meeting that Saturday 1^st October 2022 would see the start of Black History Month, and North Northamptonshire Council would proudly fly the Pan-African flag at its civic buildings to celebrate the impact of black heritage and culture on North Northamptonshire, and the world as a whole.

As part of the month-long celebration, the Council would share useful links to organisations in the county on its website and social media channels, as well as highlight local events and information. One event highlighted was a special display at Wellingborough Library to honour Mike Prescod MBE, the town's first black mayor

The Chair drew Council’s attention to two recent visits to North Northamptonshire by members of the Royal Family. HRH The Duke of Gloucester had recently visited Oundle, whilst HRH The Princess Royal had attended the official opening of Chester House.

The Chair drew Council’s attention to a circus holding performances at West Glebe Park, Corby from 30^th June – 4^th July 2022. It was noted there were a significant number of the Circus company from Ukraine.

The Chair confirmed arrangements for the conduct of the business of the meeting. There were no other announcements on this occasion.

The Chair confirmed that the Urgency Item relating to the Statement of Licensing Principles would be taken on the agenda after the report on the Gambling Act.
